C8 are progressing well on installing the mechanical services including energy efficient solar panels to Phase 2 of Clos Barbier, consisting of 24 one-bedroom apartments.

C8 are now maintaining a large building in St Peter Port. Air conditioning, ventilation, car park ventilation, domestic plumbing & power & lighting are now looked after by us.

C8 are proud to support our local community in Guernsey. We are helping the Cobo Community Centre by delivering their maintenance free for the year and providing discounted rates. In a typical week, a wide range of community-based activities can take place at the centre, which was built using funds gathered by the local fundraising campaign. C8 will be carrying out maintenance throughout the year to ensure the Centre continues to operate in optimal condition for all users to enjoy.

JW Rihoy have employed C8 to complete the Guernsey voluntary service fit out at Le Grand Courtil care home. C8 have an in-depth knowledge of the site due to the management teams experience as the design and build, mechanical contractors for the 90-apartment care home.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of the Air conditioning, ventilation systems, emergency lighting and fire & security systems at Carinthia House are now being maintained by C8 after a competitive tender exercise by the landlords’ agent, Rock Commercial.

Bank Julius Baer approached C8 to find a system to protect their server room in case of flooding from the tea point above. C8 sourced a system that isolates a water feed should the system detect a leak with the optional functionality to link to BMS and/or text alerts.

Thanks to our strong D1 partnership with Daikin, C8 have purchased a Daikin service checker to improve our service delivery to our maintenance clients. This device connects to Daikin air conditioning systems to record and monitor data trends. This gives an accurate indication of the system health to enable us to provide accurate quotations to our clients.

C8 have been successful on a tender bid for the planned preventive maintenance of the mechanical and electrical services to Richmond House. The new contract will begin in 2017.

C8 have been approached by a local trust company to provide a competitive PPM contract. C8 have been awarded the contract due to our high standards, competitive rates and personal service.

Cimandis have awarded C8 a PPM contract for water treatment. This consists of monitoring and logging water temperatures for the prevention of Legionnaires’ disease and contributing to a safe working environment.

Les Echelons Court will now be looked after by C8 thanks to Rock Commercial awarding us the PPM contract, after a competitive tender exercise. The contract consists of all specialist mechanical and electrical services, including air conditioning, ventilation, emergency lighting, fire alarms and water testing.

Monkey Puzzle approached C8 to provide scheduled maintenance on their two sites for air conditioning and monitoring of water temperatures. C8 have been able to offer a significant saving on their maintenance contract as well as a superior standard of service.

C8 have been requested by Bucktrouts to look at their office ventilation. C8 found the system to be unbalanced causing draughts and air noise through the grilles. C8 have made minor adjustments and re-balanced the system to provide a more enjoyable working environment.

C8 have been awarded a contract for a part refurbishment of rooms within one of the largest hotels on the island, St Pierre Park. Work will begin early 2017.

Due to our increasing maintenance portfolio, C8 have invested in the latest Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) software to handle the workload. Once fully functional, it will allow clients to view assets, track & log jobs and review invoices, plus many more features.

After a successful tender process, we have been issued the order for the replacement pressurisation units serving the LTHW and chilled water systems at the prestigious Regency Court site.

C8 have been awarded the hard services maintenance contract for La Plaiderie Chambers, including mechanical and electrical services.
